Lady Gaga has been a pop icon since early 2000s, releasing hit after hit, from Poker Face to Bad Romance. However, Gaga had seemed to have a break from the music industry with her last album Love for Sale with Tony Bennett, being released 2021. Although writing a song called Hold my hand for the Top Gun Maverick which played over the end edits, her first huge single since 2021 was Disease which is making fans believe that she is making a big come back to music.

In my opinion, Lady Gaga making her comeback to the forefront of the industry is going to do wonders for women. She is constantly challenging the beauty standards for women and empowering women through her music, good examples of this are Born this way and the edge of glory.
Born this way is an anthem for women and the LGBTQ+ community, with its messages of expressing yourself and equality. Women across the world resonated with this song, with its meaning of embracing who you are and uplifting yourself, and this message will become evermore important now Trump is back in the White House.

Gaga likes to use her platform to instigate change for other female artists and is not afraid to speak out against the discrimination and sexism women face on a daily basis within a very much male dominated industry!
